Zappos Nude Model Campaign
July 12th, 2011 | by |Zappos, an extremely popular clothing retailer and a model for online business, is going to use fully nude models in their upcoming advertising campaign. Most already know Zappos as the online store that sells shoes with the ultimate “no-hassle” return policy.
Perhaps it is surprising that they are choosing to run a “risqué” advertising campaign, even by their standards.
Models will appear on the website fully nude, albeit censored. These fully nude subjects will be engaging in very common activities such as hailing a taxi and exercising. Censor labels remind customers that the company sells more than just shoes.

Features on the website will allow shoppers to clothe the models and dress them up.
Although Zappos’ nude model campaign seems a bit risky and “risqué,” they should be applauded for their continuous innovation that has earned them such acclaim and profits. If fashion is a form of self-expression, Zappos isn’t trying to just “fit in,” they are certainly trying to stand out.
